What if professional development felt more like discovery than a lecture?
About the Exploratorium
The Exploratorium is an interactive digital learning space designed to support inclusive education. Through a 3D model classroom and interactive visuals with embedded hotspots, educators, families, and community members can explore assistive and accessible technology tools, strategies, and resources in context. Users can browse by category or explore more broadly, with each tool supported by clear guidance on the what, why, and how of implementation, along with plans to add real-world stories and videos from Washington classrooms.
How To Get Started
To explore the Exploratorium, begin by clicking and dragging your cursor (or swiping on a mobile device) to rotate and move through the interactive image. As you explore, select embedded hotspots to open additional content—such as images, videos, websites, or brief explanations—that provide deeper insight into each tool. Tools are grouped by category on tables to support easy discovery, comparison, and exploration of related inclusive supports.
Family Connections for Inclusive Voices is here to connect parents and caregivers of children with disabilities (ages 5-24). Parenting a child with significant support needs can be rewarding, full of surprises, and at times, overwhelming or isolating. Family Connections provides a welcoming community where parents can connect, share experiences, and access guidance on assistive technology (AT) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Through advocacy, resources, and meaningful connections, we empower families to navigate their journey with confidence. You’re not alone—let’s connect and grow together!
