State Leaders in Assistive Technology in Education (SLATE) is a professional network of leaders of state, regional, provincial, and national assistive technology (AT) programs that support schools’ use of AT for students with disabilities in preschool through K–12. Together, we share innovative ideas, address emerging issues, and build a shared understanding of strategies that strengthen AT services and support the success of students with disabilities.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for networking and professional development among state-level AT program leaders.

SLATE meets monthly to spotlight a specific topic and provide a collaborative space for states to share what’s working and what they are learning along the way. Participants engage with topic experts and national partners, gaining insights, strategies, and practical tools to adapt in their own contexts.
