What’s new in resources for and research on digital reading skills? Join this session to learn about these questions on this rapidly developing issue. Take away key points for your instructional practice. Explore activities and lessons that you can implement tomorrow, as well as units that you can tailor to your students and setting. Share ideas with others on a group site.
Objectives:
- Review current research and literature on reading digital texts, particularly what it tells us and what it doesn’t tell us.
- Examine resources and ideas for teaching students to read digital texts.
- Share with other participant ideas and resources for teaching students to read digital texts

Molly Berger, ELA Specialist
As a secondary ELA teacher with experience in social studies, Molly Berger has used technology to enhance learning in the classroom since the 1990’s. In addition to her years in the classroom, she worked as a program coordinator at ESD 105 and an ELA Specialist at OSPI. Recently retired but non acora finito (not finished yet), she is writing and doing educational contract work. Her areas of focus are on reading digitally, teaching the research paper, and blended or hybrid instruction
