Description
Sustainable AAC implementation requires alignment across teams, goals, and systems. While clinicians may successfully integrate AI into individual sessions, long-term impact depends on how these practices are embedded into educational planning, team collaboration, and literacy instruction. This session focuses on integrating AI and AAC into educational systems through IEP development, team collaboration, and literacy-focused intervention planning.
Learning Objectives
Participants will:
- Develop one IEP goal that integrates AAC, AI-supported language expansion, and literacy
- Identify two strategies for supporting team implementation of AI in AAC across settings
- Apply one framework for documenting progress in language, authorship, and literacy

Course Completion Requirements:
Completion requires learners to (1) view/attend the instructional presentation in full; (2) complete informal learning assessment/reflection. Attendance will be monitored through Zoom.
Course requirements must be submitted no later than 5/5/2027.

SLPs in K-12 schools working with students who use AAC.
