Every student deserves literacy access. Join our 3-hour hands-on retreat based on Comprehensive Literacy for All. You’ll explore evidence-based strategies and practice using tools in a collaborative space. Gain the tools to provide inclusive instruction for learners with significant disabilities. Turn vision into action!

Learning Objectives

  • Design three specific, measurable literacy goals, utilizing evidence-based strategies from Comprehensive Literacy for All.
  • Demonstrate the use of at least one new innovative technology tool by incorporating it into a sample lesson plan, explicitly identifying how the tool enhances student engagement or accelerates literacy growth.
  • Create a personalized action plan listing three concrete steps they will take to refine their current literacy instruction for students with disabilities.

11:15 – 11:30 | Break (15 min)

11:30 – 11:50 | Application to students & goal setting (video Jane Farrall & PVC) (20 min)

11:50 – 12:20 | Lesson Planning with PMT (30 min)

12:20 – 12:50 | Create your lessons (30 min)

12:50 – 1:00 | Wrap up and reflect (10 min)
