Description
In order to help students who may need reading support, it is important to use data to determine what/if any tool is needed for a particular student. The uPAR is an assessment tool that will provide the data to help determine this. Join this AT Chatter as we explore the uPAR, Universal Protocol for Assessment in Reading. Learn how this tool can provide data to determine who needs reading accommodations and what accommodations will be helpful.
A common writing support is speech recognition. Students need to be taught how and when to effectively use speech recognition as AT. The Speech Recognition as AT Guide by Daniel Cochran and Kelly Keys is an excellent resource to help you teach this to your students. During this AT Chatter, we will explore the new AT Internet Module on the Speech Recognition as AT Guide.
