12/06/2024, Clicker and the CLFA Book Collection: Showcasing Books with Clicker Sets

Date: 12/06/2024 Time: 11:00-12:00 Location: internet Type: Webinar

Description

In this 1-hour webinar, participants will learn about a powerful pairing: Clicker, a suite of child-friendly word processing tools, and books in the Comprehensive Literacy for All (CFLA) Book Collection that have related Clicker Sets ready to go! These Clicker materials include Clicker Planning Boards, Sentence and Connect Sets, Word Banks, Matching Sets and more! Building on Clicker Learning Grids, these ready-made sets are available for you to use or adapt as you wish. Since these Clicker materials relate to specific books in the collection, you can also leverage the literacy planning sheets and fringe communication boards that comprise this collection of resources for comprehensive literacy instruction! We will show you how to find and use these resources, as well as highlight examples of when all the pieces are put together.

Through practical examples, participants will discover the transformative potential of integrating Clicker and CFLA resources, fostering inclusive and engaging literacy experiences for all learners, including early emergent learners, students in preschool, students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and students of color who have disabilities.

Learning Objectives

  1. Participants will learn about a variety of Clicker Sets or file types to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with intellectual disabilities.
  2. Participants will explore books in the CFLA book collection that have pre-made Clicker materials available to meet the needs of diverse learners, including early emergent literacy learners and those in preschool.
  3. Participants will see how these two resources combine in engaging and meaningful comprehensive literacy instruction, which includes the opportunity to increase visibility of students of color who also have disabilities.
